Wow! It has been so long since I have posted anything on this Blog!! A lot has been going on. It is hard to believe that I am 32 weeks and only 8 more to go!! Baby Grayson will be here before I know it. Our family has gone through so much change over the last few months. Only by the grace of God have we managed to make it through it all. Bryan won his battle with Cancer on November 17th. His battle had just began earlier that month. So crazy to think that it has already almost been 2 months. My girls and I have had so much comfort and support during this time. It is more than we can comprehend and way more than we will ever be able to repay. But I am so thankful for my church family and all of the support they have shown!! Hopefully (I know I say this way too often) but hopefully I will be able to keep up with this a little better as the months go on!!! Thanks for checking in on us and please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

A LITTLE MATH

What does 4 plus 1 equal?? You guessed it - FIVE! I am still in a little bit of shock that at the end of February, first of March the Baier family will become a family of 5. Abbi will be 10 and Ella will be 7 when this little bundle of joy will be born. What was I thinking!!!! I really don't think that I was and that might be the problem, but God has blessed us again with the expecting of a new addition to our family. Bryan is very excited, which was kind of a shock to me but I am so glad that he is as excited as he is. I am excited as well but I keep telling myself it has been 6 years and OH MY things have changed. What if I have forgotten everything? Am I going to remember how to take care of a baby?? Of course I think I know all of the answers to those questions but still a little nervous at just starting over. I have wonderful family and amazing friends though that I know will help every step of the way!!! My girls are excited or at least they are slowly getting there. Abbi just said "OK!" when we told them and Ella, well Ella pretended she fainted. No drama there!! I just ask for your prayers as we emark on this new journey in our lives. My girls especially. Their world will be completely turned upside down. Ella has been the baby for 6 years now and I know will have a difficult time. But they will both be such big helpers. Thanks again for the prayers and we are very excited to begin this new journey and are waiting on what God has planned for us next!

10 Years Together

I know it has been a very long time since my last post! I've decided we either live very boring lives or we are so busy that I can't ever find time to tell you about everything. So here's the latest (I can think of) in the Baier House!!!

Bryan and I were married on April 21, 2000. We were so young and so clueless and we had a baby on the way. So many things could have gone wrong and it's sad to say that it most cases they do, but on April 21, 2010 we celbrated 10 wonderful years of marriage. Just 2 months before this we were hit with something that neither of us expected. It stopped us in our tracks for a few weeks. I believe several times over the course of those weeks the vows we had said came back to us over and over again. Through sickness and health??!! Wow were those times tested. But not once did we doubt our love for each other and more importantly the love God has for us! Through surgery and then the dreaded waiting came for resluts God knew all along the outcome!! What we thought in the beginning to be the worst case scenario God knew would turn out to be nothing at all. I am so glad that we trusted him and gave it all to him during that time. Over the last 10 years we have had to do that many times and I am so thankful that we do have that relationship with him and that we put him in complete control of our lives personally, our marriage relationship and our children's lives.

During the week of April 19th - 23rd we went on a 7 day Cruise to the Carribean. It was just amazing. We had such a wonderful time together and enjoyed every island - Jaimaca, Grand Cayman Island and Cozumel. We created so many memories! I hope we can do this again very soon. It was just a great week - just the 2 of us - to reconnect. It's not often in any of ours lives that we can spend just one on one time together with our spouses. It was long overdue for us and I am so glad that we were able to have that together time!!!

Here are a couple of pictures we had taken on the boat. I will post actual pictures from the islands later (I promise)! I might even try to tell you a little bit about them!!

GRADUATION DAY!

It has finally happened. I thought this day would never come. On December 19, 2009 Bryan graduated from SMU with his MBA. We are so proud of this great accomplishment. I am glad that I finally have my husband back after 2 years. We are not sure what to do with ourselves now that we are all home together every night. There has been a little bit of adjusting but we are so thankful that he is finally finished. Here are a few pictures of the day.

9 YEARS OLD

Well, it has happened. My baby has turned 9 years old. I am a little late with this post, I understand, but things have just been so so busy! You're lucky to even get this.

On October, 24th we celebrated Abbi's 9th birthday. I always ask what kind of party they would like to have and she decided this year to have a "SPA" party. Thanks to my wonderful friend Becky Endsley we were able to have the party at her house. There was no way I could accomodate 7 girls plus family in my tiny house. She was gracious enough to let us have it at hers. I made Towel Wraps for each of the girls. The had their own slippers to wear. We did Pedicures, Manicures, Parifin Wax, Facials, Make-Up and Hair. Thanks to my sister Emily - she did a great job on their hair. We had a wonderful day and I think the girls had a great time. Thanks to all the moms for letting their girls come. Abbi was very thankful they were able to join in on the fun! Here are a few pics from the party! Enjoy!

VACATION

Okay - so I promised some pictures of our vacation so I feel the need to deliver.

We went to Florida this year with the Lees and the Wrights. We had a great time and it was very relaxing. We enjoyed tons of great Seafood (so much that on the Sunday after we got home we ate at Juan Pablo's like twice that day). We enjoyed the friends, visiting and relaxing. Hope you enjoy the pics.

We're Back......

Well, we made it back from Florida safely. Sorry that I cannot post pictures at this time. Bryan will be at school Monday and Tuesday so I won't have access to our computer until then. We had a great time. The girls especially did. I will hopefully be able to post pictures before the end of the week. Until then....................

Empty Promises & Mini Update

MINI UPDATE:

We have been very busy since school ended. It is so hard to believe that in August/September, Abbi will be in the 3rd grade and Ella will be in Kindergarten. I am really getting old.

So far they have had a wonderful summer. We spent the first part finishing up softball. Abbi had a good season. She didn't learn and advance as much as she wanted but I think she had fun playing. She would have gotten picked for All Stars this year , but we had to decline. The state tournament fell on the weekend that we are leaving for our vacation. She was a little disappointment but not for long. I think Dad was wishing she could play a little more that she was.

The girls just got back this week from their Papa and Nana's house in Missouri. They had a great time! Bryan's parents are great!! They always make their week there so enjoyable. I don't think they ever stopped going. They spent most of the week in Branson, MO. They stayed in a condo, went to Silver Dollar City, watched Peter Pan-Live, watched a movie and did some shopping. The girls had a great time. They always enjoy the weeks they get to spend with their Papa and Nana.

We leave for Florida this Friday. The girls are so very excited. This will be their first beach vacation. It will be my first REAL beach vacation too! We will leave on Friday after work and get there sometime on Satruday. Bryan will fly in on Wednesday of the next week and spend the rest of the vacation with us. He wasn't going to get to come at all at first, so we are so happy that he gets to come for a few days.

Well, this is about all I can say about the going ons at the Baier house so far this summer. I will hopefully get to post pictures when we get back from vacation. Remember though, I am making NO PROMISES.

Okay, so I know - it has been so so so long since I have posted anything! You'll have to give me a break, though - it is just a little hard to juggle work, house chores, the many activities that Abbi and Ella are involved in and a husband gone 2 nights a week to school (which he will finally graduate from in December - YES!!!!).

So, decided to start from the beginning so this may take several posts!

Back in November we had familiy pictures taken - they were wonderful. I never posted them because they were Christmas gifts to our family. We went to a photographer in Cooper Texas. He did a wonderful job and we were so excited about the results we received. So with this post I just wanted to share some of the pictures that we had taken. It is so hard to believe how much my girls are growing up and way to fast! Just reminds me how much we need to cherish every minute with them that we have.

Has it really been that long since I've posted??? I totally apologize to those that read this. As you can see there hasn't been much of an update lately! Things have been crazy as usual around the Baier House. Christmas has just appeared out of no where. I cannot believe that this Thursday is Christmas. Thankfully I have completed all of my purchases. Can't say so for Bryan. I think he is finishing up today.

We will be spending Christmas in Sulphur Springs this year. It is kind of exciting to be able to wake up Christmas morning at home with just our family. That has not happened in a couple of years. We will spend most of the day at home, just the four of us. I am very excited about that. Did I mention that I'm excited??? We will have Christmas at my Dad and Mom's house that evening when my baby sister makes it in from Missouri.

Bryan's parents will be able to join us next week right before New Years. We are excited to have them at our house around the holidays and spend time with them. We were able to spend Thanksgiving in Missouri and we had such a great time. We sure do miss them though!! I'm glad they've decided to come visit before the New Year.

Well, that's about all I can think of right now to write on. I will try and post a few pictures of our wonderful craziness we call December around our house. Programs, Parties, Decorating, more Programs, more Parties and Shopping have totally consumed our weekends.

In all of the craziness though, I hope that we each find time to reflect on the many blessings God has granted us with and the whole reason why we celbrate this wonderful season. He should ultimately be our focus. May we not forget the wonderful thing that happened on that Holy Night, when Jesus was born!! May we give him all the honor and glory this holiday season and share his love and his message with those that need him!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS - FROM THE BAIERS

CHAMPS

Saturday officially ended our soccer season at the Baier house! In some ways I am very relieved but I think I will miss it a little too.

Ella played at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. This was her last game and I will say that she was a little too excited about it being the last one. At the start of the season, we were so ready for her to show her aggressive side on the field, but surprisingly, she showed no interest whatsoever in playing soccer. She was more concerned about the other girls taking her ball away (which she said was not very nice of them to do), and she loved digging little holes in front of the goal while she was defending it. The way her mind works, there could have been a little strategy in that, we're not sure. This last game, I will say, was the most fun I think she has had all season. She got to do a Goal Kick a couple of times and she would back up as far as she could off the field and run up and kick the ball as hard as she could. They don't keep official score in her games, but we usually do. They tied this last game, but played very hard.

Abbi played her first game at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning. For those of you that live here you know the exact weather conditions on that day. For those of you who don't live here in TX, it was about 40 degrees and I'm pretty sure the wind was gusting at about 20 miles. It was very, very CCCOOOLLLDDD!!! This game was the start of the tournament they would play throughout the day. We ended the season 3rd Place out of 4 teams total. So, in this first game we played the 2nd place team. We beat them by 1 point. It was very exciting! After that win we advanced to the Championship Game that afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Again, since it was now getting dark outside the temperatures had gone back down, but thankfully the wind was not blowing as hard. In this game we were playing the undefeated 1st place team. We held them without score (0-0) for the whole game. It was very intense and the girls played, I believe, one of their best games of the season. Since the game ended in a tie we had to go to a shoot-out. We beat them in the shoot-out by one goal. IT WAS SO AWESOME!! I will admit I was not much of a soccer fan before this season. Since I now know the rules and know that Abbi loves to play, my interest has peeked and I really enjoy watching it.

My Birthday

Well, yesterday was my 28th birthday and I would like to take a minute to brag on my friends and family!!

I had the most wonderful day yesterday........................

When I woke up Bryan had a card for me so I would see it first thing that morning. The girls had made me cards the night before and they had those all laid out on the kitchen table. Bryan had also bought me tulips (my favorite flower) and those were on the table that morning as well. All through out the day I had family and friends call or email me and wish me Happy Birthday. As you get older it seems that the birthday's get a little harder, in my case it only means I'm that much closer to being 30, which does not seem fun to me at all.

When we got home yesterday afternoon, my wonderful friend Krista had sent me the most beautiful arrangment of flowers. I was so suprised. She even called and sang Happy Birthday to me on the answering machine. She is such a wonderful friend and even though she is so far away she was able to be apart of my special day and that means the world to me. THANK YOU KRISTA! Later that night, after Abbi's soccer practice, we went to Tamolly's (Juan Pablos) for dinner. It was me, Bryan, the girls and my mom and dad. We ate and had a great time visiting. My mom and the girls had made me cupcakes so after dinner we went back to our house and had cupcakes and I even had presents to open.

I had such a great day and my friends and family took great care of me!!! I am so thankful for the wonderful family that I have. They love me so much and take care of me far more than I deserve!!! THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Happy Halloween

We had a great night Friday! The girls enjoyed dressing up. Abbi was a Go-Go Girl and Ella was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. If you take a look in one of the pictures of Ella you will notice a few scratches on her head. To this day we are unsure of what really happend but it is Ella so anything is possible. Her daddy told her that maybe the Tornado got her, so now she has been telling people that somebody stormed her or rained her. Abbi's Go-Go Girl outfit didn't turn out exactly like we wanted it to. The picture on the outfit showed white boots and because we waited till the day of, we didn't realize until last minute that it only provided the leg part of the boots and you had to provide the actual shoe. So we pulled out the white Easter Shoes with heels and it looked just as cute. Instead of going Trick-or-Treating we went out to Saltillo ISD where my mother works and attended their Carnival. We met up with Russell, Cassie and Wyatt Kirkpatrick for Pizza before and then rode out to the Carnival together. Wyatt was the cutest little Cowboy. On the way out to the Carnival we stopped by and visited with the Endsley's and all the kids had their picture taken together. Cameron was a little Monkey and he was so cute. All in all we had a great time!!!!

Pumpkin Patch

I know what you're thinking.... "Two Posts In One Day"?! Well, honestly if I don't do it now while I'm thinking about it, it will probably never get done.

On Monday, Bryan took Ella to the Pumpkin Patch with her school. If you can't tell from a few of the pictures, it was very Windy and COOOLLLLDDDD!! He said she was very excited to have her daddy come with her to the Pumpkin Patch. He doesn't get to do that very often and I think that he had a great time too. She got to pick out the pumpkin she wanted and she was able to paint it. She also enjoyed a maze and a hay ride. She came home telling me all about it, so I know she had a great time!

Abbi's Birthday - High School Musical 3

On Friday, October 24th my Abbi turned 8 years old. My how time seems to fly by! We celebrated with friends and family with a HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 party! She had 5 girls come to the house for Pizza, Cake and Ice Cream and then we all went to the movie theatre to see HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3. I made all the girls matching shirts. I tried Iron-On transfers for the very first time. Let me tell you that waiting until 8:00 p.m. or later on the night before to begin making 6 matching shirts is not a smart thing. Who would have thought that ironing on a transfer to a shirt could be so time consuming and frustrating. In the end everything worked out okay! Ella had Payton Hammock come over too so they could go to the movie together. After I messed up on their shirts, I settled for going to Wal-Mart and just buying them matching shirts. I didn't wan't them to feel left out. I think the girls had a great time and the movie was very good! Another year gone by..........

I have had tons of fun viewing various blog spots created by friends. It is so nice to be able to keep up with others and their families. I thought, "Hey, why don't I give this a try"! We'll see how it works. I'm not a big talker and we don't do anything too exciting but we'll see what happens. I certainly can't make any promises on the number of times I will post. Just ask Krista C. I have a very hard time remembering to do things when it comes to keeping up with others, much less, keeping up with my own whereabouts. I think this will be fun though, and I might even be able to get Bryan to play along too!! ENJOY!
